TerraVin Marlborough Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Aug-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with pale golden hues, this has a soft, light bouquet showing white stonefruits, flinty lees work, delicate citrus notes and a minerally, steely element. The palate has rich and intense lemon and citrus fruit flavours alongside elevated acidity that results in a racy steeliness and lively mouthfeel. This has freshness and cut, and a long linearity leading to a finish featuring flavours of citrus fruit and spicy oak. Match with shellfish and creamy or rich poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-5 years. Southern Valleys fruit wild yeast fermented in French barriques over 6 months to 12.7% alc., the wine aged a further 9 months in oak. 18.0/20 Aug 2011 RRP $26.00
