TerraVin ‘Hillside Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2004

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Apr-2012
Light ruby-red with garnet huesthis has a soft, but concentrated nose with savoury red berry fruits, secondary game and forest floor notes, quite earthy and funky. Medium-bodied, the palate is full and mellow, with sweet red fruit flavours along with brown spices and dried herbs, game and a little brettanomyces. This still has sweetness and a depth, though the tannins are resolving, providing a soft, smooth texture. Drinking well now, the funkiness working with the development.  17.5/20  Apr 2012
