Terrace Springs Marlborough Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Nov-2011
Dijon clones 115 and 667 given a cold soak and fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 15 months in French barriques. Bright, dark ruby-red with youthful purple hues to the colour, this is full and attractively lifted with fresh, red berry and dark floral aromatics. The nose is fruit forward, and oaking is very sensitive. Medium-bodied, this is lush and exuberant with raspberry and red cherry fruit flavours. The palate is open, easy and sweetly juicy. Even and uncomplicated, the extraction is light and fresh acidity a little prominent. This is a cheerful, positive and approachable wine that will match charcuterie, tapas and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 3+ years. 16.5/20 Nov 2011 RRP $19.95
