Terrace Springs Marlborough Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Nov-2011
Pinot Gris from the ‘T.H.E.' vineyard cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, pale on edge. This has a very fresh and deep nose of bright florals and pear fruit, honey and an attractive aromatic lift. Dry to taste, this is medium-weighted, but light and shy in flavour. Stonefuit and pear notes are very subtly presented, and the palate features bracing acidity resulting in a firmness and a steely edge. The vinosity of the wine provides a satisfying mouthfeel, and a little alcoholic heat comes through on the finish. The aromatics are a highlight of this wine and the good body will enable matching with seafood and white meat dishes over the next 2+ years. 15.5-/20 Nov 2011 RRP $13.95
