Terrace Heights Estate Marlborough Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Apr-2011
Very pale straw-yellow with green hues to the colour, this has a full, soft bouquet of ripe pear fruit with notes of honey and tropical fruits. Dry on palate, this is full, open, broad and very accessible, showing good depth and weight of pear and stonefruit flavours. Some soft textures and a little alcohol heat are noticeable, but add to the mouthfilling expression. The wine finishes with attractively sweet fruit nuances. Fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc and 3.2 g/L rs, the wine was given some lees stirring. Serve with chicken and pork dishes over the next 2-4 years. 400 cases produced. 17.5/20 Apr 2011 RRP $19.95
