Very full, very dark, deep, black-hued purple-red colour, youthful in appearance. This has a very tight and concentrated, powerfully intense nose of ripe black berry fruits, with spices, liquorice and pepper, revealing nuances of mineral, tar, earth and reduction elements. Medium-full bodied, intensely ripe, spicy, black berry fruits form a deep flavour amalgam with spices, black pepper, minerals and violet florals. The palate is rich and gently luscious, with lively underlying acidity, and is supported by fine-grained, supple tannins. Smooth-flowing and concentrated, the core carries through to a very long and sustained finish with black pepper and spice notes. This is a very intense and softly concentrated, ripe, black-fruited Syrah with spice and minerally flavours. Match with Middle Eastern cuisine, casseroles and roasted red meats over the next 6-8 years.
