100% Syrah indigenous yeast fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 11 months in French oak, approx. 25% new equivalence. Very dark, deep, black-hued, purple-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is very finely proportioned and tightly bound with mineral-infused, ripe black berry fruits and black pepper aromas, lifted by violetty perfumes and hints of Asian spices. Medium-full bodied, tightly concentrated black berry fruits, pepper and spice flavours form a dense palate core and line. The mouthfeel is very smooth, silky and near seamless, with very fine-grained tannins, and harmonious acidity. Aromatic floral notes and savoury black-earth elements unfold, and combine with mineral notes, providing a melange of flavours that blooms and carries through to a long, lingering finish. This is a tightly bound and youthful Syrah with a mineral and aromatic black fruits on a fine-textured palate.
