Terrace Edge Waipara Valley Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 20-Oct-2014
Bright, light, peach-pink colour, lighter on edge. This has a delicate, piquant nose with ethereal aromas of savoury red fruits, red florals, white pepper and herbs, expressed with a refreshing steeliness. Medium-dry to taste, moderately intense flavours of quince, red florals, spices and white pepper are enlivened and lifted by thirst-quenching, racy acidity. The fruit has succulence and is balanced by fine-grained phenolics, which provides mouth-watering grip through the palate line. The wine lows with good energy and tension, leading to a sweet, red-fruited finish with lingering peppery notes. This is a distinctively flavoured off-dry rosé with red floral, spice and peppery notes and a thirst-quenching, brisk mouthfeel. Serve with tapas and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 2 years. Hand-picked Syrah from the 45° ‘Bank Block’ cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 15 g/L RS. Certified BioGro organic. 16.5+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $22.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
