Terrace Edge Waipara Valley ‘Classic’ Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 05-Nov-2012
Brilliant straw yellow with hints of gold to the colour, pale on rim. This has an intense bouquet with voluminous and ethereal aromas of yellow florals, ripe stonefruits and citrus and some honeysuckle elements that build with depth and presence. Medium-dry, rich, near succulent and lush flavours of citrus fruits, florals and honeysuckle form a soft, very fine-textured line and mouthfeel. Fresh acidity provides energy and drive, and the palate is harmonious and complete as it flows to a long and sustained dry finish featuring complex mineral and flint nuances. This is an off-dry Riesling with richness, presence and complexing mineral notes. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 4-5+ years. Fruit WBP and indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 12.5 g/L rs. 18.5/20 Nov 2012 RRP $21.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade', the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews' operates
