Terrace Edge Waipara Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 14-Feb-2011
Bright, light ruby red with light purple hues to the colour, this has a light, slightly shy bouquet showing fresh, bright red cherry aromatics with some oak toastiness, along with smoke, herb and game nuances in the background. Medium-light weight, this has coolish, lively cherry fruit flavours with some oak char elements forming a feature of the palate. Fresh acidity and supple, gentle tannins make this extremely accessible and approachable, allowing the distinctive fruit/oak expression to be the highlight. Fruit 100% destemmed, given a 3-6 day cold soak, fermented with native yeasts to 13.5% alc., and aged 11 months in 25% new French oak barriques. Drink over the next 3-4 years. 17.0-/20 Jan 2011 RRP $27.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade', the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews' operates
