Terrace Edge Rosé 2020, North Canterbury

Rosé from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 13-Oct-2020
Bright, medium salmon-pink with an orange hue, lighter edged. The nose is softly-full with nuances of red berries, strawberries, cherries and quince interweave deep fragrance of rose petals along with a fine dusting of spices. Medium-full bodied, the palate has breadth, penetrating an amalgam of savoury red fruit along with quince form a concentrated core. Subtle spices unveiled along with rose petals, linger to an elegant, crisp, peppery finish. The fruit has good concentration and depth, supported by fresh acidity. A fine layer of phenolic composes an elegant, light texture coating, rounded by the creamy palate. This is rosé with the richness of savoury red fruit, rose petals and spices on a crisp palate with a touch of creaminess. Match with beef carpaccio and charcuterie over the next 3 years. A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Pinot Noir, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc. 18/20 pts Oct 2020 RRP $24
