Terrace Edge North Canterbury Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 30-Oct-2018
Bright, light salmon-pink colour with a hint of cerise and purple on the rim. The nose is softly full withfresh fruit aromas of strawberries and quince with raspberry elements, unfolding subtle savoury and spicy red florals with berry nuances, and a suggestion of confectionary. A steely thirst-quenching mineral element adds vitality. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has vibrant and rich flavours of strawberries, quince and raspberries harmoniously interwoven, unfolding savoury red berry fruit and floral notes and hints of confectionary. The flavours form a rich, succulent heart with good depth, which is balanced by fine, mouthwatering acidity. The flavours carry to a lingering finish. This is a rich and vibrant medium-dry rosé with lush flavours of strawberries, quince and raspberries, florals and hints of confectionary, on a mouthwatering palate. Match with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Syrah fruit, given 4 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 8 g/L RS, the wine undergoing batonnage. Certified BioGro Organic. 18.5/20 Oct 2018 RRP $22.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
