Terrace Edge ‘Liquid Geography’ Waipara Valley Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 12-Aug-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is redolent of fresh lime fruits with subtle jasmine, honeysuckle and minerally notes, showing with clarity, delicacy and detail. Medium in sweetness and elegantly proportioned, subtle and delicate flavours of citrus fruits, honey and exotic jasmine florals show with deft richness, the palate beautifully poised with very fine textures and gentle, racy acidity. The mouthfeel is very fine flowing with brightness and liveliness, leading to a tantalising, lingering finish with nuances of honeysuckle, mineral and citrus fruits. This is an very elegant medium Riesling with delicate and exotic fruit flavours and a refined, racy mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif, with Asian cuisine or with fresh fruit over the next 5-6 years. Hand-picked Riesling fruit with 2% botrytis, WBP and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.0% alc., and 34 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $21.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
