Tercius Vinho Verde Alvarinho 2013

Other White from Portugal
Review Date : 19-Oct-2014
100% Alvarinho from the Moncao and Melgaco sub-region, stainless-steel fermented with 20% in new French oak to 12.5% alc. and < 4 g/L RS. Bright straw-yellow colour with golden hints, light on rim. The nose is fresh and steely with a firm amalgam of chalky minerals, stonefruit kernels and lifted exotic florals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, restrained flavours of exotic florals, citrus fruits and stonefruits form a tight core. Oaking is unobtrusive. The mouthfeel is brisk and racy with a steely flow and the palate follows a fine textural thread that leads to a crisp and dry finish with yellow floral and stonefruit nuances. This is a crisp and steely, dry Alvarinho with fine textures and exotic florals. Serve with seafood and Mediterranean fare over the next 2-3 years. 17.0+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $29.99
