Tercius Tejo Rosé 2014

Rose from Portugal
Review Date : 10-Oct-2015
Bright candy-floss pink colour with youthful purple hues and some depth. The nose is fresh with fragrant aromas of red cherries, cranberries, quince and pomegranate lifted by a red floral and herbal amalgam, Dry to taste and light-bodied, the palate has a soft core of sweet cherry, quince and pomegranate fruit flavours, lifted by red floral notes. The mouthfeel is rounded in texture, but flows with good acid energy and underlying tension. Soft, drying phenolics guide the palate, carrying the wine to a light but concentrated, lingering, mouthwatering finish of florals and red berryfruit. This is a refreshing, soft-textured rosé with a good core of cherry and pomegranate flavours lifted by red florals. Serve a an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. A blend of 40% each of Touriga Nacional and Castelao, and 20% Syrah, from Tejo, given 8 hours skin contact and fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 17.0-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $19.99
