Full, deep, inky purple, lighter on the rim. The nose is bold and concentrated, with aromas of black plum, mulberry, violet, cured meat, roasted coffee and an amalgam of spice. Full-bodied, aromas of black plum and mulberry intertwined with violet, mocha, cloves, nutmeg, liquorice and cured meat. The mouthfeel is rich and dense, adorned by velvety, fine-grained tannins, leaving a bold impression. The fruit is lush with balanced, lively acidity and carries a sustained, robust finish. This voluminous Shiraz is opulent and bold. Match with t-bone and mushrooms over the next 15+ years. Fruit from One Tree Hill GI in the Mount Lofty Ranges, handpicked, destemmed, fermented in temperature-controlled open-top fermenters, 12 days on skins, basket pressed to 100% new French oak puncheons for 12 months.
