Temple Bruer Riverland Montepulciano 2011

Montepulciano from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 18-Jun-2012
Fruit from Barmera, Riverland, fermented to 13.5% alc. Labelled ‘Preservative Free' and certified organic. Dark, very deep, black-hued red colour, youthful in appearance. This is a tight and elegantly proportion on nose with aromas of dark raspberry jam and bon-bons, along with a minerally aspect. Medium-bodied, the flavours of raspberry fruit are tightly held and shy, though showing brightness and some juiciness at the core. The palate is slender with a sinewy mouthfeel, and fine tannin grip along the line, leading to a moderately long, dry finish. This is a slim and elegant, bright-fruited red to serve with pasta, pizza and barbecued meat over the next 3-4 years. 870 cases made. 16.0/20 Jun 2012 RRP $24.99
