Telmo Rodriguez ‘Molino Real’ Malaga 2006

Sweet Wine from Spain
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Bright, light golden straw-yellow in colour, this has an amazingly concentrated herbal-grapey raisiny nose, along with exotic floral and blossom elements and spices. Layers of floral nuances unfold in the glass, and oak toast is a distinctive element behind the fruit. Very sweet to taste, but in no way cloying, this has great presence and weight, well in accord with the depth and concentration of rich, luscious fruit and sweetness level. Essence of flowers, natural grape purity and fine raisining are complexed by powerful toasty oak on the finish. Made from 100% bush vine Moscatel from Telmo Rodriguez's estate at Competa, allowed to raisin, native yeast fermented in barriques to 13.0%, then aged 20 months in French oak. (500 ml) RRP $93.00  Mar 2011
