Telmo Rodriguez ‘Dehesa Gago’ Toro 2009

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Youthful in appearance with purple hues to the ruby-red colour. This has a very bright, sweetly lifted nose of jammy red berry fruits with some attractive confectionary notes. On palate, very rich and sweet, with juicy raspberry and bramble flavours along with plum jam being the feature. Extraction is soft, supple and moderate, resulting in a fruit-forward, friendly and accessible juicy red to accompany pastas, pizza, most red meat dishes and cheeses over the next 4-6+ years. Made from 100% bush vine Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) from different sites in Toro, fermented to 14.5% alc., and matured 4-6 months in cement vat with no wood contact. RRP $29.90  Mar 2011
