Telmo Rodriguez ‘Basa’ Rueda 2011

Other White from Spain
Review Date : 13-Oct-2013
Brilliant straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The nose is elegant in proportion with intense aromas of stonefruits and tropical fruits infused with minerals. Subtle herb and lifted floral detail adds exotic elements, and provides freshness. Dry to taste, concentrated and tightly bound aromatic fruit flavours of stonefruits and tropical fruits form a fine-textured core and line. The acidity is brisk and racy, lending the palate with a thirst-quenching freshness and tension. The palate has energy and the flavours flow with liveliness to a dry, tight, lingering finish with exotic fruit and mineral nuances. This is an elegant, crisp and finely bound Rueda with attractive exotic fruit nuances. Serve with seafood, poultry and Mediterranean fare over the next 2-3 years. 85% Verdejo, 5% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Viura, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. 17.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $22.99
