Te Whare Ra ‘Single Vineyard 5182’ Marlborough Riesling ‘M’ 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Nov-2014
Hand-picked and sorted fruit, WBP and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 10.5% alc. and 25 g/L RS, TA 8.6 g/L and pH 2.9. Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The nose is extremely elegant and tightly bound, the aromatics a little shy initially, unveiling beautifully delicate aromas of white florals intermixed with subtle lime fruits and wet-stone minerals. This has poise, detail and piquant vitality. Medium-dry to medium in sweetness and light-bodied, tightly bound and refined flavours of white florals and mouthwatering minerals are subtly enriched by luscious nuances of honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is lively and sits on knife-edge acidity lending wonderful tension and cut. The wine follows a very fine thread of phenolics leading to a soft and delicately nuanced, melt-away finish of florals and honeysuckle. This is a beautifully delicate, lusciously refreshing and subtly rich medium Riesling of great poise. Serve as an aperitif and with fine Asian cuisine over the next 5-7 years. Certified BioGro organic. 253 cases made. 19.0+/20 Nov 2014 RRP $28.00
