Te Whare Ra ‘Single Vineyard 5182’ Marlborough Gewurztraminer 2016

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Oct-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, with slight green hues. The nose is refined with intensely packed and voluminous aromas of rose-petal florals with harmoniously melded notes of musk and Turkish Delight confectionary building to show a deep, concentrated and rounded core with freshness and poised detail. The aromatics combine remarkable presence with delicacy. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the mouthfeel is beautifully smooth, soft-textured and seamless in flow with a gently building heart of rich and opulent flavours of rose-petal florals and musk, unfolding citrus notes with Turkish Delight. The palate has great presence and the flavour fill the mouth. The acidity is soft and integrated, lending very rounded textures. The wine carries with underlying, gentle drive and power, to a long, lingering finish. This is a beautifully rich, soft and seamless medium-dry Gewurztraminer with remarkable rose-petal and musk fruit presence and a soft, seamless mouthfeel. Match with Asian and Middle Eastern fare over the next 4-5 years.
