Te Pa Seaside Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Sep-2021
Bright, pale-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full, with poised cassis and passionfruit aromas interweaving sea asparagus, subtle spice lifting, florals and green herbs. Medium-light bodied, the palate is delicate, nuances of cassis and passionfruit entwined with fresh lime, along with elderflower, saline, unfolding light white spice. The palate is refined and calm, flavours growing harmoniously along a smooth-flowing, citrusy acid line, lends a lengthy, refreshing finish. The wine has classic Marlborough flavours, presented with refinement and elegance. Match with whitebait and calamari over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from two blocks in the Home Vineyard, Wairau Bar; Block 1 (85%), Seaside 4 (15%). Handpicked, fermented in stainless steel to 13% alc, 2g/l RS, left on gross lees for 6 weeks. Vegan friendly. 19/20 pts (95 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $24.95
