Te Pa Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Dec-2020
Bright, pale yellow with a light green hue, even colour throughout. Classic expressive aromas on the nose, passionfruit, nettles, white currants underline white spices. Medium-light bodied, vibrant nuances of lime, passionfruit has an elegant core, melded with nettles and lengthen by delicate white spices. The flavours are sharp with fineness, tension and length; brilliant acidity lingers with a hint of saltiness, end on a morish lingering. Match with fresh-shucked oysters and cloudy bay clams over the next 3 years. 75% fruit from MacDonald Family Home Vineyard, Wairau Bar and 25% from Redwood Hills, Awatere Valley. 50% handpicked and whole bunch pressed, fermented in mostly stainless steel tanks to 13.5%, 3.5 g/l RS, aged on light lees, a small percentage of new oak used. Vegan friendly. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Dec 2020 RRP $19.99
