Te Pa Riesling 2020, Marlborough

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Sep-2021
Bright, pale yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is enticing and invigorating, soft aromas of lime, orange peels, melded with a hint of petroleum added interest, along with orange blossoms and honeycomb. Medium-light bodied, dry-ish to taste, vibrant aromas of lime, Granny Smith entwined with orange blossoms and orange peels, subtle honeycomb linger on the finish. The wine possesses a great balance between acidity and sweetness; acidity is vibrant yet calm, provide a persistent drive and vitality. Match with scotch eggs piccalilli and shellfish over the next 5+ years. Fruit was from Wiffen Vineyard, Central Wairau Valley, fermented to 12%, 12g/l RS. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Aug 2021 RRP $18.95
