Deep, ruby-black with a purple hue and some transparency, lighter edged. The bouquet is gently full and alluring, nuances of perfumed plums and black cherries, along with violet, mint, earthy minerals and cedar. Medium-full bodied, aromas of black plums, cherries, black peppercorns are in the same proportions, enriched by dark thyme, cedar and violet. The wine has clarity layers of flavour and well in proportioned; the fruit is gentle, allows the subtle details of violet and thyme to be in harmony. Earth and savoury notes unfold as the wine opened up. Fine-grained tannin contributes to structure and provides some silky fine grip; integrated acidity carries a long and sustained smooth finish. Match with duck and venison over the next 5+ years. Clone 115 Pinot Noir from single-vineyard Taylor River Vineyard, handpicked, fermented in different batches contain 5%-30% whole bunches to 13.5% alc.
