Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Oct-2023
Bright, medium yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is full, with aromas of struck-match, citrus and stonefruit intermixed with saline and nutty elements. Full-bodied, aromas of lime and lemon lead the palate with tension, unveiling rich notes of smoky flint, roasted almond and a hint of saline. The wine is powerful and rich with smoky flint and nutty details; zingy acid tension carries the wine to a lengthy finish. A cellar-worthy, complex-style Sauvignon Blanc. Handpicked best parcels, whole bunch pressed to French Cigar barrels for fermentation, aged on full lees for 11 months, 13.5% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Oct 2023 RRP $24.99
