te Pa Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Mar-2017
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. This has a gently full and well-packed nose of ripe, pungent passionfruit aromas interwoven with nuances of dark herbs, green stonefruits and mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a rounded heart with succulent passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours, entwined with dark herbs and subtle mineral notes. The wine is gently mouthfilling and the fruit is underlined by light, dry phenolic textures, lending body and presence. The acidity is softly ripe, and the wine flows easily to a moderately long finish of passionfruit and tropical fruits. This is a rich, succulent, rounded, mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with some dry textures providing presence. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Sauvignon Blanc fruit, 77% from the MacDonald Family Home vineyard, Wairau, and 23% Redwood Hills, Awatere Valley, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Mar 2017 RRP $19.99
