te Pa Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Nov-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is soft and light with restained aromas of gooseberry and grassy fruit with a soft core of herbs, now showing a little secondary bean-like nuance. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the fruit flavours of gooseberries, grass and herbs are gentle and restrained. Some secondary bean flavours show. The mouthfeel is soft with an underlying acid and phenolic line and the flavours flow smoothly. There is good weight and vinosity which carries the palate to a soft, mellow finish. This is a soft, gentle, grassy-flavoured Sauvignon Blanc showing some bottle development and good vinosity and presence. Drink over the next 12+ months with antipasto, salads and vegetables. Fruit from the coastal Wairau Bar district, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. 15.5/20 Nov 2013 RRP $22.50
