Te Pa Hillside Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Sep-2021
Bright, pale-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full and elegant, aromas of citrus, cassis melded with nettle and asparagus, there is a sweet scent of stonefruit intermix. Medium-light bodied, aromas of lime, cassis are crisp, lengthen by minerals and a hint of saline, underlined nettle and asparagus, lends a vibrant finish with white spice. The wine has a soft and smooth flowing mouthfeel, adorned by a slightly chalky texture. Juicy, salivating acidity flow with good energy and focus, persist to a lengthy finish on the palate. This is a multi-layered Sauvignon Blanc with a citrus lead on a smooth-flowing palate driven by mouthwatering acidity. Match with sole fillets and whitebait over the next 3 years. Fruit from Redwood Hills, Awatere Valley, handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc, 2g/l RS, aged on light lees for a couple of months. Vegan friendly. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $24.95
