Bright straw-yellow with pale gold hues. This has a beautifully soft and harmoniously presented nose of exotic florals and yellow stonefruits, the aromatics fruit focussed but with a subtle nutty, barrel-ferment complexity and nutty elements. Medium-full bodied, the flavours of exotic florals and fruits with citrus notes are supported by subtle apricot and nutty notes. The componentry is wonderfully integrated and the wine is softly textured, smooth-flowing and seamless. The acidity lends perfect poise and the alcohol totally unobtrusive, and the wine exudes lusciousness. 3-4 years. This has a softly full and intensely bound nose with a complete aromatic profile showing pure apricot, citrus zest and exotic floral Viognier fruit that is interwoven with layers of interest. Dry to taste, rich and concentrated flavours of pure and ripe apricots are lifted with exotic florals and citrus zest notes. The palate features a deep and packed, creamy core supported by a fine phenolic grip which guides the palate line. Crisp acidity provides good balance and lifts the floral elements Some alcoholic power is present, adding to the drive. This has linearity and drive, and the palate has real presence, with a myriad of nuances on the finish. This is an elegant, yet powerful Viognier with purity and length.
