Very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The nose is very fresh with concentrated aromas of gooseberries and grass, revealing layers of passionfruit pungency. The aromatic build in power and depth in the glass. Dry and medium-full bodied, tight and densely concentrated flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit show with real depth. The mouthfeel is very dry and textured with a little graininess. Is this press wine? The flavours are ripe and backed by plenty of zesty acidity that carries the textures and bold flavours to a long, rich finish. This is a bold, up-front passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with raciness and plenty of texture. Drink over the next 2-3 years. This has a very full, concentrated and penetrating bouquet of pungent passionfruit aromas along with fresh herbs and mouthwatering mineral notes. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, stylishly restrained passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours build to show good weight, depth and intensity. The acidity is discreet, providing a rounded mouthfeel. The subtly sweet fruit is balanced by fine, dry textures which carry the flavours to a moderately long, mineral and herb nuanced finish.
