Bright, pale straw colour with yellow hues.  The nose is elegant and intense with aromatic and lifted green stonefruits with an array of herbs, citrus and tropical fruits, the bouquet becoming richer with aeration.  The fruit is upfront, with juiciness and a rich breath, the mouthfeel balanced by good phenolic graininess providing a firm, textured core and line.  This has excellent drive and mouthfeel, the flavours of greengages and spices growing on the long finish.  Drink over the next 4+ years.  85% Sauvignon Blanc, 11% Semillon and 4% Sauvignon Gris. 18.5+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $N/A This continues a wonderful run of superb wines under this label. 85% Sauvignon Blanc,11% Semillon and 4% Sauvignon Gris, fermented to 13.0% alc. and aged 8 months in new and seasoned French oak, the wine given batonnage, this is rich and beautifully textured on nose and palate showing ripe nectarine, lime, gooseberry and herb fruit characters, wonderfully spiced with oak. Softly racy, this has a very long finish, and should match seafood dishes over the next 4-6 years.  Mar 2011
