Very dark, deep, black-hued red, with a touch of garnet on edge. This has a very full, densely packed nose, soft in expression, showing dark berry fruits with secondary leather, dried herb and meaty aromas. Medium-full bodied, the flavours are of savoury dark plums with game and leather, still with richness and lifted by good acidity. The tannins are fine-grained and beginning to resolve, yet this has real depth and concentration. The wine has a soft, rich, but finely textured finish of complex secondary nuances. Drink over the next 6-8+ years. 38% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 11% Petit Verdot, 13.5% alc. 18.0+/20 Mar 2012
