Te Mania Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 10-Jan-2014
Fruit from the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented in tank to 12.4% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS, the wine undergoing batonnage for 3 months. Bright pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is softly full with a harmonious array of fruit aromas, showing limes, tropical fruits, gooseberries and herbs, with an attractive floral lift. Dry to taste, delicate waves of flavours show on the palate with restraint. Tropical fruits, gooseberries and herbs follow a softly textured line, with fresh, balanced acidity in support. The fruit extract and phenolics form a tight core with good drive, and lead to a thirst-quenching, minerally finish. This is a stylishly restrained Sauvignon Blanc with a gentle array of flavours and a soft-textured linearity. Match with seafoods and Asian fare over the next 2+ years. Vegan wine, certified BioGro organic. 17.5/20 Jan 2014 RRP $20.00
