Te Mania Nelson Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 01-Dec-2011
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, pale on edge. This has a very fine, tight, steely and delicate nose of lime fruits, apples and minerals with nuances of herbs. Off-dry to taste, bright, lime and green apple flavours are enhanced by notes of jasmine, the fruit showing lovely purity and a very fine and cutting line through the palate. Lacy acidity adds to the finesse and drives the flavours to a long, lingering, subtly nuanced finish. A very tight, pure and delicate Riesling to serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 4-6 years. Fruit from three vineyards, 76% from 16 y.o. vines in Weka Road in Tasman, and two organic sites in Hope. Hand-picked and WBP, fermented to 12.8% alc. with 9.0 g/L rs. Suitable for vegans. 18.0/20 Dec 2011 RRP $18.99
