Te Mania Nelson Pinot Noir Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 10-Nov-2016
Light strawberry-peach pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and delicate with attractively fragrant aromas of strawberries and pomegranate, lifted with gentle red florals and fresh herb notes, unfolding suggestions of watermelon. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses soft and gently luscious flavours of savoury strawberries and pomegranate fruit, with lifted red floral elements. The palate is elegant and slender in proportion with a fine, underlying phenolic line enlivened by crisp, lacy acidity. The wine has linearity and carries to a light, sustained, dry finish of strawberries and pomegranate. This is a slender dry rosé with delicately aromatic strawberry and pomegranate fruit and a fresh, lingering, nuanced palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit purposely grown for rosé. 54% clone 5 fruit from Ranzau, 46% Richmond Plains fruit, mixed clones, 60% crushed and given 24 hours skin contact and 40% hand-picked and WBP, cold fermented to 12.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS. Vegan wine. Certified Asurequality organic. 17.5+/20 Nov 2016 RRP $21.99
