Te Mania Nelson Pinot Noir Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 17-Oct-2014
Clone 5 Pinot Noir from the ‘Marsland’ vineyard, crushed and soaked overnight and fermented with 10% in seasoned oak to 13.8% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. Pale peach pink colour with some depth, lighter on edge. This has an elegant and tight nose with light aromas of strawberry fruit and delicate notes of raspberries and cream, with some confectionary lift. The nose has a minerally, thirst-quenching freshness, and builds quietly in intensity. Dry to taste, refreshing flavours of raspberries, strawberries and red berry pastilles are enlivened by crisp acidity. The mouthfeel has cut and the wine is slippery, opening with fruit lusciousness, revealing a fine phenolic line that leads to a light, dry finish. This is an elegant, refreshing and gently luscious dry rosé. Serve al fresco as an aperitic and with canapes over the next2 years. Vegetarian wine and certified AsureQuality organic. 488 cases made. 16.5+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $21.90
