Te Mania Nelson Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 03-Jun-2014
Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with light, youthful purple hues. The nose is firm and tight with aromas of cherry and berry fruit intermixed with slightly resinous oak and minerally, earthy elements, revealing light fragrant floral elements with aeration. Medium-full bodied, softly concentrated, restrained fruit flavours of red cherry and berry fruits are supported by fine-grained tannins. There is good mouthfeel and presence, the oak emerging to add firmness to the palate line. The flavours flow with good energy, driven by the alcohol, carrying through to a light, subtle-flavoured finish. This is a light-flavoured Pinot Noir with firm line, good mouthfeel and presence. Serve with antipasto, charcuterie, and with lighter Asian fare over the next 4 years. Clones 115, 5, 667 and 777, fermented partially by indigenous yeasts to 13.5% alc., the wine spending 11-23 days on skins and 10 months in 12% new French oak. Vegan wine and certified AsureQuality organic, the grapes certified biodynamic. 16.5+/20 Jun 2014 RRP $23.00
