Te Mania Nelson Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Even, purple hued ruby-red in colour, this has an elegantly proportioned nose with strawberries and red berry fruits, along with nuances of herbs, lifted with some good floral perfumes. Medium-full bodied at 13.8% alc., the palate has fresh, focussed soft-red fruit flavours, bright and vibrant and quite up-front in expression. The tannins are soft and supple, allowing immediate drinkability. Drink this over the next 3-4 years with mild Asian cuisine. Made from a range of clones from three sites in the Nelson region and fermented with wild yeasts, then aged in French and American oak. Suitable for vegan consumption. 16.5/20 Mar 2011 RRP $19.99
