Te Mania Nelson Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Cool-fermented to 14.4% alc. and 7.5 g/L rs, this has a brilliant straw-yellow colour with some green hues, and a full nose of ripe pears lifted with florals, apricots and exotic perfumes. Off-dry to taste, a little alcohol is noticeable, but the focussed, purity of the ripe pear fruit flavours is the feature of the palate. The wine is still tight and the flavours taper to a dry, minerally finish. Good acidity and delicate nuances suggest this will open up over the next 2-4 years. Drink with antipasto and mildly spicy foods. 17.0+/20 Mar 2011 RRP $19.99
