Te Mania Nelson Chardonnay 2014

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 07-Jan-2015
94.3% Chardonnay and 5.7% Chenin Blanc fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS, the wine given light oak contact. Full, bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh with subtle aromas of white peach and stonefruits along with an amalgam of floral, nutty and minerally elements. The oaking is very much in the background. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours are very light. White stonefruits, nuts and oxidative elements show, and are enlivened by crisp acidity. The mouthfeel is fresh, crisp and zesty, and the wine carries to a clean, refreshing, nutty finish. This is a crisp, refreshing, subtle Chardonnay with white stonefruit and nutty flavours in a Chablis-esque style. Serve with seafood and white meat courses over the next 2-3+ yeas. 427 cases made. 16.5+/20 Jan 2014 RRP $21.99
