Te Mania Nelson Chardonnay 2009

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Made from four clones of Chardonnay fruit from three sites on the Waimea Plains cool-fermented to 13.8% alc. and given some oak contact. Very pale straw-yellow in colour with some green hues, this has a light nose with Chablis-like chalky, flinty, white stonefruit aromas. Dry, clean and crisp on palate, there is richness to the white stonefruit, citrus and melon flavours, which show a little oak and mealy backing. The acidity is keen and provides good line, the mouthfeel with a little grip on the finish. A wine to enjoy with seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2-3+ years. 17.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $19.99
