Te Mania ‘Koha’ Nelson Ice Wine 2010

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Mar-2011
Very pale straw-yellow with light green hues to the colour, this has a bouquet of fresh lime juice and marmalade, with blossom and herb notes, somewhat restrained by a little reduction. Very sweet and luscious on palate, this has fresh lime and apple-like flavours showing, still a little locked in. There is racy acidity and a little textural grip that balances the sweetness through the mid-palate and this carries through to a moderately long finish. An easy to appreciate, linear and driven sweet wine to drink with fruit desserts over the next 2-3+ years. Made from hand-harvested Riesling fermented to 10.4% alc., and freeze-concentrated to attain 120 g/l rs. (375 ml) 16.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $21.99
