53% clone 95, 40% Mendoza and 7% clone 6 fruit from the ‘Home’ vineyard, handpicked and barrel-fermented, partially with indigenous yeasts to14.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 20% new 500 L French oak puncheons with 100% MLF. Bright straw-yellow colour with light green hues. This has a softly full and broad nose with clear white stonefruit aromas along with nutty, musk and chalky minerally notes. Fullish bodied, the fruit flavours of citrus and stonefruits have a chalky and minerally edge and textured framework. Soft acidity is present, providing freshness and a steely line lends a degree of raciness to the mouthfeel. Oaking is sensitive and unobtrusive. This is a dry, soft-textured Chardonnay with good weight. 730 dozen made. 17.5/20 Jun 2014 RRP $24.99
