Te Awanga Estate ‘Parkhill Road’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 04-Apr-2016
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant with light, fragrant aromas of white stonefruits and delicate green stonefruit notes, along with piquant herbal elements and mouthwatering mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is restrained in expression showing delicate flavours of white stonefruits, gooseberries and an array of fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is gently crisp and zesty, the elegant core flowing smoothly , with good underlying acidity and linearity, leading to a fine-textured finish of stonefruits, florals and herbs. This is an elegant Sauvignon Blanc with restrained flavours of white stonefruits and herbs, and a crisp, smooth-flowing line. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. A single vineyard wine from the ‘Te Awanga Estate’, fruit cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc., the wine spending a short time on lees. 16.5+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $24.99
