Te Awa ‘Left Field’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 10-Sep-2011
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with a pale edge, this has a fresh, lively, light nose of garden herbs and white stonefruits with gooseberry and lantana notes. Dry to taste, this has a soft core of herb and waxy fruit flavours, quite gentle and subtle in expression. There is good acidity to provide tension and some vibrancy. The wine has an even flow with some piquant herbaceousness and good length. A relatively up-front, fruit-driven style for Hawke's Bay to enjoy over the next 2 years with Mediterranean food. Warm-fermented to 12.0% alc. and dryness. Sep 2011 RRP $16.95
