Taylors ‘St Andrews’ Clare Valley Shiraz 2012

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 19-Aug-2015
Very dark black-red colour. On the nose, full with powerfully concentrated aromas of black plums, liquorice, earth and black minerals, along with sweet vanilla and toasty oak in the background. On palate full, bold and up-front with deep and concentrated, sweet and lush flavours of black berries, plums, liquorice, pepper and chocolate. Real density of fruit with balanced extraction and structure, the tannins fine-grained and integrated. Very long finishing. Fruit from the A30, Old Lands S50, 40 and 80 acre blocks, fermented to 14.3% alc., the wine aged 12 months in American oak. 19.0+/20 Aug 2015 RRP $65.00
