TattyBogler Otago Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 02-Sep-2013
Bright, moderately deep, purple-hued pink colour, pale on rim. The nose is deep and intensely packed with bright aromas of raspberries, melons and some confectionary notes lifting the fruit. Some steeliness and savoury herbal detail adds to the freshness. Dryish to taste, bright, lush and juicy raspberry and watermelon flavours along with confectionary elements are at the core of the palate. This has good mouthfeel and up-front, mouthfilling flavours providing good body and richness. Lacy, slippery acidity balances the richness, providing good energy that carries the fruity flavours to a thirst-quenching finish with good length. This is a full, upfront and bright, raspberry fruited, dryish rosé. Match with tapas and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir, 57% from the Waitaki Valley and 43% from Bannockburn, cold soaked and cool-fermented to13.5% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $25.00
