TattyBogler Central Otago Pinot Noir Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 17-May-2012
Brilliant light pink colour with peachy hues, pale on edge. This has a light, fresh and pretty nose of strawberries, cherries and watermelon with subtle red floral and confectionary notes. Slightly sweet to taste, juicy and lush strawberry and bon-bon fruit flavours are enlivened by brisk acidity, the wine showing good depth and some real concentration, promising to release more. The palate is crisp and lifted with floral elements which add detail that carries through to a delicately sweet finish with length. This is a light, attractively juicy and fruity rosé with good presence. A pretty wine to enjoy in the sun and with charcuterie and tapas over the next 2+ years. A blend of Central Otago and Waitaki Valley Pinot Noir fruit destemmed and cold soaked on skins for colour. The must was cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 10 g/L rs. 17.5/20 May 2012 RRP $25.00
